well we had a rough week here in the beckenhauer home due to stomach flus but now we are good and healthy and happy. We just retuned from visiting my friend Abby and her boys and had a great time. So fun to see Allie and Evan playing together (since they are only two weeks apart) although Allie was a little braty to Evan, maybe jealous? But always good to spend time with friends. Allie was LOVING Abby's new baby Brayden. She got all giddy when she got to look at him it was too cute. Doing weeks like those makes me wish we were closer to friends and family... maybe one day :)
We are getting packed and ready to head on our family vacation to Mexico on saturday. We can not wait for the sun and heat! I am so excited to have allie expience the sand and ocean. (we were at the beach last year but she was only four months) She is in such a fun stage for it. She is such an explorer. A week vacation is just what we need :) Allie has cut 3 and a half molars and we are thankful that those molars are almost done! She is addicted to learning sign language right now. She gets really frustrated when I don't know a sign for something. So I have to google it and then show her the sign. Its amazing how only after three or so times showing her it she has it figured out. Its so fun to be able to communicate just a little bit with her. Rob really enjoys teaching her signs. She is still LOVING animals. She loves to show me a sign and have me guess what animal it is. Granny gave us animal magnets that she plays with all day everyday. She still doesn't say to many words. She will say "hot" when it comes to my coffee, the lights, or the stove. She also says "hi" especially to the gate guards. Other than that not many words yet... who knows when that will happen. She just learned the features of her face such as; eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue and teeth. Its been so fun teaching her new things she sokes things up like a sponge!
Everything else is going great around here. Enjoying life in wichita. Rob and I were just talking the other day and saying how amazing it is to feel like you are right in the center of where God wants you to be. It just shows it doesn't matter "where" you live as long as you feel its exactly where Gods will is for you. And we truly feel that here right now and feel so much contentment in God and His plan for our family.
Here is a video of Allie playing with her baby (who she is attached at the hip to) and doing a couple of her signs she knows. Hope you enjoy.
