I love being a Mom

What a great week. Last night Rob and I were laying in bed talking about what a true blessing it is to have a daughter. We had a night off last night (first of the week) and we just laughed all night long. Allie was so happy all day and she just smiled and laughed all night long it was so fun. Allie got her nightly bath, feeding, and fell right asleep. About an hour and a half later woke up crying, which is quite abnormal for her, so Rob went up rocked her for a minute and she fell back alseep. Probably a bad dream :( Just needed a snuggle with her dad :) I know I say it so often on here, but I guess I just can't express how blessed I feel. I am not sure why God has blessed Rob and I so tremendously, but we never take it for granted and I pray never will. And I honestly pray that others can experience this pleasure that we feel.

I can already tell that Allie is going to bring so much joy to the world. Whenever we are out people always comment on what a great smile (toothless that is :) ) that she has and how much of a smile she brings others.

Allie now has a new found love for a member of our family.... Charlie. Charlie is our Mutt for those of you who don't know and Allie LOVES him. She has noticed them for awhile now, but now whenever Charlie walks in the room Allie giggles and can't take her eyes off him... its too cute. She wants to pet and pull at his ears all the time. She likes Bubba our bulldog, but she just likes to poke his eyes and then is staring back at Charlie. Too cute to see her with all the dogs.
In the picture Allie is snuggling with her stuffed pig that her Dad gave her... we named him"PIG" I know very creative!

Hope you all have a blessed weekend!

Mom and Dads night out!

Well Allie officially had her first night with a babysitter and we are very excited about that! Rob and I got a night out to the movies and coffee and it was so nice. One of the girls in my highschool bible study babysat for us on friday night and Allie did great. I was a bit nervous since Allie had been a little fussy last week, but she took a bottle from Denisse and went to bed great. Woo hoo! We enjoyed a beautiful weekend here in wichita, it got to 80 degrees and we all spent Sunday in the garden. Got to love those weekends! Allie is chatting up a storm these days and its too cute. She just rambles on and on about who knows what, but she seems to love it :) She is definitely recognizing people and giving everyone big smiles and normally a laugh. She lights up when her dad gets home and its so cute. In the picture Allie is wearing her 350th Red Falcons hat (the name of Robs squadron) that was given to us by the squadron when Allie was born. Too cute. We just made our flight back to chicago for the Cystic Fibrosis walk and we are super excited!

Videos Videos and More Videos

So grandmas in town, as I have mentioned a couple times :), which means shopping is involved so we maybe went a little crazy but we found the cutest chair ever and Allie looks so big in it! I swear she is turning into a toddler already. And notice the chair has monkey's on it of course :)
Okay so we maybe are a little crazy with the videos, but I will have to say she is just so stinkin cute and we have to capture it! Rob started doing this new 'trick' with Allie that stresses me out to no end, but allie always laughs and Rob is determined that it helps her balance :) Grandma couldn't watch it cause she was too afraid of her falling! Its pretty funny though!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB46ZZqGa_E
Then we bought some new toys and Allie got a new tummy mat and she is so excited about it. Its so funny cause her eyes get so big and she gets soo excited. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nXaMXOc_Wc
Then we got a great video of her laughing at Dad. I will never get sick of her laughing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03Gr9ZuyAIc
Well Grandma leaves tomorrow and we are very sad about that we have loved EVERY second of her visit and always wish we could be down the block. Guess we will have to just have lots more visits!

Singing Songs and Reading Books With Grandma

More fun with Grandma! So of course we had to make some videos while Grandma was in town so we had lots of fun memories to look at. After a long day of shopping and playing we decided to sing songs with Allie. Allie seemed to think it was rather funny. Here's the video if you want to watch :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gayv2DPuvTw

We are having a great time. The weather is really bad, but thankfully all we need is Allie around and its an automatic good time :) We are just hoping its sunny tomorrow so we can play in the garden.

Very exciting news is that Allie officially slept all the way through the night. Woo Hoo! She slept 8 to 8! It was VERY exciting for mom :) Hopefully she stays on the good sleeping kick!

Grandmas here and Allie loves her feet!

Hey hey.. just wanted to post the cutest picture ever of Allie eating her toes.. This morning she figured out how to get her feet in her mouth and they haven't left there all day :) Grandma arrived this morning and its been very exciting. We have been showing her all Allie's new 'tricks' and smothering Allie with hugs and kisses. Yeah for grandmas!

Rolling over : )

Well today Allie hit another milestone.. she finally rolled over from her tummy to her back woo hoo! Unfortunately when I pulled the camera out she decided two times rolling over was quite enough for one day :) Never will do tricks for the camera! but I got some cute photos of her on her tummy and with her rings. She is sticking everything and anything in her mouth.
On Saturday we had our churches Mexican Dinner Fundraiser. Allie was such a trooper she was in her sling all night as I helped serve dinner. Two Mexican girls came up to me and started asking all about Allie. As I am sure most of you know Mexican babies have LOTS of hair so their first question was "Why does you baby have NO hair??" Poor Allie is very BALD! It was so cute though.. they were very concerned that she wouldn't ever have hair. I unfortunately did not start growing hair till the age of two so Allie has no hope!
We are VERY anxious for Grandma to come in town tomorrow! Hopefully the rain doesn't come and we can enjoy four sunny days. I am sure there will be many photos and videos after grandma comes. She said she was going to video the whole four days :)

Allie Laughing

Isn't it funny the things we will do to get our babies to laugh? Well atleast in our case Rob and I will act in any way necessary to make Allie laugh no matter how silly we look, me in this case. I guess I am trying to preface my video cause the singing is a little strange :) But just for grandma wanting to hear Allie laugh I will show it :) I love to hear that noise of her laughter it seems to put a smile on my face every time and I hope it can for others too. here's two videos of her laughing..

As I watch Allison grow I get an overwhelming sense of blessing, that the Lord has allowed me to experience the joy of this amazing little girl. I just feel I was given a gift I don't deserve, a beautiful healthy daughter. Over the past four months I feel I have experienced my Heavenly Father in a new way, a way that I am still trying to put into words, but I know that my amazing Lord loves me in a way that I will never truly comprehend and I pray that others can experience this Love and Grace in the same way.

Yeah April!

Well not too much is new here, just wanted to put up some photos of Allie on her tummy, cause lets face it she's just so darn cute :) She now has what Rob and I call a "perma bib" on cause she spits up non stop! So rather than changing her outfit every couple hours I change bibs, and Allie likes to stick them in her mouth anyways so both fun and practical :) Theres a photo on here with our little brother Allen (from big brothers big sisters) we are putting together a landscape for his trainset we got him for christmas in our basement. Its been fun and Allie loves to watch it go round and round. The dog in the picture is NOT a new dog he is just the one we are watching for about two months. I have renamed him "Pony" since he is as big as one. But hes a sweety and as you see he is great with Allie. Well we are just waiting for spring, a couple warm sunny days have popped up here and there so we are anxious to get outside more in the sun! yeah spring!
