okay so I had to add these photos... it was too funny.. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and allie was in the living room playing with some toys. About 3 minutes later Rob said "Linds you have got to see this" I walked around the corner and somehow Bubba and Allie found a piece of paper (which is a love of both of theirs) and both of them started tearing it to shreds and eating away. When we walked in Allie just looked at us like, whats the problem? I swear this little girl is getting TOO OLD! And Bubba and Allie seemed to have become great friends :) too fun.
Our journey which started with one daughter and has grown to four biological children. Now it shares our journey through foster care. May this be a place of joys, sorrows, encouragement and most of all the Lord moving in a mighty way through families and foster care

On the move!!

My sweet family.. and no I can't take credit for the amazing garden behind us :) its my connecting neighbors, we just thought it was a great backdrop :) Well much has happened, as always, since the last post. Rob, Allie and I just got back from our 10 day vacation. What a great week! We enjoyed having a couple days of nothing to do but enjoy our sweet family. We fully enjoyed that time we had. While we were there Allie progressed her scooting to more of a crawl... watch out she is on the move! I have officially decided my house is far from baby proofed! She wants every cord and every remote she can find :) Its so fun to see her get so independent wanting to do everything herself. She is definitely not a baby anymore.. my little lady is growin up. She uses both arms and one toe to get everywhere. Rob and I decided that she is going to be one energetic lady! she will go go go for hours just laughing, talking, rolling, crawling. Its too funny. And whenever we hold her she tries to jump out of our arms.
Allie is enjoying her food. Unfortunately rice cereal and bananas don't settle well in her stomach so she is just one veggies right now. She could eat sweet potatoes and squash all day. We are getting ready for another trip next week, up to another reunion for my moms side of the family. Lots of family time this summer! So fun that Allie gets to see so many people. Thankfully we are flying up there this time and not driving. Allie and I are all drived out for now. :)
Well we are off.. hopefully to enjoy a couple days before Rob heads out on monday. Sorry for the crazy amount of photos.. I am trying to learn another way to display them :)

On The Road Again....
Well here we are packing our bags for yet another road trip... We just got back from a Beckenhauer Family reunion up in Nebraska.. We took some great photos but I am waiting for them to be emailed or sent and I will post them. We had a great time seeing family and for Allie and I... meeting family. Nothing like spending great time with family :) So fun that everyone got to meet Allie. Thankfully Allie did well and there are no complaints :) I am so thankful that she enjoys her carseat since we have spent MANY hours in it!
We are now headed for a 10 day trip... yes Rob got 10 days of leave! woo hoo! So we are headed up to my parents lake house to spend time with family and then Rob and I are taking a couple days to ourselves.. yeah! And we will end the trip with my Grandpas memorial. Nevertheless we are excited to get away together for a little bit. For those of you who don't know Rob is scheduled to go down to Altus Oklahoma (our previous base) do to Instructor Pilot upgrade.. yup he is becoming an instructor pilot... yeah rob! he will be down there for about 6 weeks. He then is scheduled to deploy mid october.. so we are trying to soak up as many days as we can right now since he will be gone so much come the end of the month.
Well Allie is doing great. Her two teeth are fully in and I am unsure of any more deciding to pop out. I have started her on solids and she is getting used to them thats for sure! she seems to enjoy sweet potatoes the best. Its amazing how easy baby food is to make and how cheap it is! Rob has been a little "stressed" out as I call it when it comes to feeding time since he is a little OCD when it comes to messy hands and faces! As I have already told him... get used to it.. this is just the beginning :) After one feeding has decided that she can do it all by herself.. Why so independent!! Crazy Lady! Allie has decided that as of now scooting is her way of travel. She uses only her arms and its quite funny. She is adding new syllables weekly.. and its fun when a new one pops out cause it seems to surprise her. Well I wont write a novel.. but I just wanted to update on life in wichita. God is good... and continues to bless us way more than we deserve and we are truly thankful.
